13. What To Do If You’re “Cursed”

First let’s discuss: How to know if you are cursed? Typically this is a guide for people who have been threatened that they will be or are cursed. Otherwise it may just be a feeling that you have. If you are unaware that you have been “cursed”, it’s likely something you don’t need to worry about. In general I would recommend practicing raising your vibration in order to not be affected by negative energy in general.

If you ever find yourself in a situation where you think or feel a curse has been put on you, don’t panic. Although I am by no means a spell or curse expert, I fundamentally understand how energy works, which can help backtrack the cause, problem and solution.

Disclaimer: Since this is simply my opinion regarding reading energy, I would recommend crowd sourcing multiple articles/intuitives in order to find the solution which resonates with you.

To put it simply, a “curse” is really just an energetic intention. Someone has intended for you to be in pain or in harm’s way, or whatever feeling or emotion they felt at the time. Often times there may be some sort of physical ritual associated with it in order to strengthen the bonds of said intention. Any other intentions and physical objects brought into the ceremony are typically used to aid in this process. Depending on the power of this energetic signature may determine how “powerful” this particular intention is.

I would first like to say that every thought, feeling and emotion is an intention. The only thing that makes one intention more powerful than the other is the amount and quality of energy put behind it. Energy which is from source or love is most/more powerful and more energy is certainly more powerful than less energy. But at the end of the day, all we are talking about is energy. And by extension of that, the same energetic principles.

The reason I suggested not to panic is because when we do panic or feel that we are being threatened we immediately put ourself into a lower vibrational state which makes us more susceptible to negative energy. The best thing to do is to…

  • 1. Acknowledge 2. Accept 3. Proactively transmute this energy.

  • Acknowledging is easy, as are simply becoming aware that a curse is put on us. In cases when we are not aware, this becomes a little bit more challenging, but if that’s the case, we can just move on to step

  • Accepting is really allowing ourselves to face this energy, and even let this energy “run through” us. It’s stating affirmations that “I will let this energy run through me and not affect my life” “I will proactively transmute this energy”, etc. Really whatever resonates with you will work, so long as it’s out of love and the fear/hate is not redirected toward someone else. Acceptance may also come in the form of accepting that this negative energy was directed toward you and that there may be a learning lesson you may need to face. In general it’s being courageous (and not fearless) in the face of danger. Granted you want to mitigate as many fears as you can, but that’s not always possible. Continue to set these intentions in order to put yourself in the correct mindset. When you start to become afraid or have negative thoughts come into your mind, acknowledge them, but then transmute them into more positive ones. Find any semblance of gratitude that you can. Even if that piece of gratitude is simply “I’m thankful that I became aware of how to transmute curses”. Leaning into gratitude is helpful because it’s one of the highest vibrations.

  • Next is proactively transmute this energy. This step is pretty similar to step 2, but feel free to take it up a notch. Proactively seek out experiences which would be the opposite of this energy. If you’re aware of the theme of the curse (for example someone wants you to be unlucky in love), continue to seek out positive experiences with love. Although it can be scary (as you’re essentially going face first into the curse), the only way to transmute any negative energy related to relationships is to either completely remove this old negative stagnant energy (which can be really difficult) or to almost squeeze it out by adding so many positive experiences, the negative ones seem insignificant. Keeping your vibration high is your best transmuter of this energy as well as defense against negative energy affecting you in the future. Intuitives and other intuitive practices such as Reiki can help to transmute negative energy as well. Those who become beholden to the curse itself are often times the most affected. It’s important to acknowledge and accept, but not to be burdened by it.

    Here’s a short list of some do’s and don’ts:

  • Don’t: Start “acting out” the curse, in other words proactively acting as if it is affecting you. Do: acknowledge and accept the fear vs. ignoring and rejecting it as a whole.

  • Don’t: Become a hermit or crippled by this fear, proactively avoiding experiences related to the curse. Do: Seek out positive or high vibrational experiences related to the curse topic. If none is known then simply high vibrational experiences in general.

  • Don’t: Create a new curse or project this energy back onto this person. Do: Create healthy boundaries indicating you will not be affected/proactively transmute any negative energy sent to you by this person, or any person.

  • Don’t: Repeat mantras or negative thoughts related to the curse. Do: Create and repeat mantras related to proactively transmuting this energy as well as maintaining a high vibrational state.

  • Don’t: Do something simply because you read it online. Do: Move forward with what resonates with you personally. You are always safe with acting out of love combined with your best intuition and judgment.

Hopefully this article has been helpful. This is a last reminder that the laws of energy still apply. Continue to improve your vibration, work through your learning lessons and give love to others and yourself. It will be your best defense against “curses” or other negative thoughts, feelings and emotions sent by others your way.
