427. The Importance Of Intrusive Thoughts
The world, or at least the internet seems quite divided on the idea of intrusive thoughts. On one hand, some are saying that they are valid and important, and this is often times immediately shut down and discouraged by those assuring persons struggling with intrusive thoughts that they aren’t “real” or “advised”.
The trouble is, we’re arguing over the lack of information or awareness surrounding these intrusive thoughts. Of course, if you have a life-threatening intrusive thought, it’s not something that you should follow. And just because you have an intrusive thought of something happening to you, doesn’t mean that it will actualize. And I know this… as a channeler! Often times I’ll receive visions or impressions of a client which are incredibly dramatic. Why? I only have a couple of seconds to “understand” a point. every aspect of the impression is important, including every detail. Now… is this to say that every detail of the vision will actualize? Definitely not. It’s simply painting me a picture of the message which needs to be delivered. Then it’s up to me, the interpreter, to interpret it. These impressions are coming through to me because it’s likely an urgent message, but also because the more “information” which is presented in a full visual experience, image or other, will be more helpful for me to interpret. If you want the “solution” or answer in a book you’re reading, you need to put any and all information into said book. Otherwise you’ll lose the continuity of the message, if that makes sense.
So let’s talk about why you would be receiving intrusive messages or thoughts. Of course, it can definitely be the case that your fears or anxieties are attempting to “work themselves out”. So there could certainly be a concept or theme regarding death, dying, or other. It’s certainly important to have your stress and anxiety managed/controlled in accordance with this.
But let’s talk about the concepts and themes with impressions themselves. Going back to the “argument”, it’s of course the case that you shouldn’t throw yourself in front of a moving vehicle. But let’s dissect this impression, as an example.
For me, if I were to see a client getting hit by a car, it would tell me a couple of things. One, certainly being that this likely will not be a physical experience they would encounter, but simply a message to be decoded. Chances are, due to such a dramatic impression, it may mean that something regarding their life experiences or life path is going to change. And it’s possible that it could or would be universe intervention (as shown with an external force coming at them). For me, cars always symbolize “life journey” as a car is the way that we arrive to our destination. So, hence, this impression would likely have to do specifically with their life path. Depending on who or what is doing this intervening, the time/place, the “after effects” that this person is experiencing, and so many other parts of this impression, I’m able to come up with a hypothesis or prediction for what a client may experience in the future.
Remember that when we are not totally aligned to our intuition or our subconscious, our inner self has only a few seconds to get a point across. It’s likely going to be dramatic, intense and catching our attention. Because it wants us to pay attention. We just need to stop fixating so much on the vision being portrayed, and being afraid that it’s going to come “alive” in reality.
And of course, we do not want to act upon our intrusive thoughts, but simply document them, observe how they develop/continue and start deducing patterns. And of course, work with a licensed professional to manage intrusive thoughts which are preventing you from going about your life.
As a whole, intrusive thoughts want our attention and to spread a message. And that’s… essentially it. It’s up to us to take them seriously and interpret them.
If you’re struggling to “decode” your intrusive thoughts, definitely start with journaling. Start intention setting and affirming that you’re looking to decode these thoughts, and ask your spirit guides for signs. it can also be helpful to, at the same time, determine what’s going on in your life, develop awareness and consider what needs to change. Also how much your stress and anxiety is affecting your life. Intuition development as a whole will also be very important. As an added bonus, you may want to do some research regarding symbology as a whole. What do each element of the intrusive thought mean? Looking up decoding dreams can also be a lateral explanation. Keep in mind to only take in what resonates for you.
With anything in our life, we can use it for our own benefit, or we can assume that it’s here to “take us down”. Work to see things in your life which can ultimately be useful and helpful, and at the same time, manage how it’s helping you or affecting you. As I’ve found in channeling, there’s hardly anything which is “all bad” or “all unhelpful”. At the end of the day, if there’s anything to gain from these intrusive thoughts, at minimum, it’s simply a learning lesson.
