457. Can And Do Spirits Lie?

A question popped up on the internet regarding whether or not spirits do or don’t lie.

I suppose is really depends on what kind of spirit we’re talking about. Typically the closer in “time” a passed person is to their moment of death, there’s more of a likelihood that said person would take on a more human-like form or approach. Typically I sense this in the way that they communicate. Higher-vibrational energies tend to communicate more through motion, movements or feelings. Recently passed people tend to communicate more through words. One may argue that through “translation” there may be more ways in which a person can and will misinterpret a passed person, meaning that it may not necessarily be a lie from a passed person, but a misunderstanding which is lost in translation. Communication can be challenging or difficult at times, pending different circumstances.

While it’s challenging to call a human a “lower vibrational” energy, considering we do live in 3 to 5D, there are certainly more higher vibrational entities out there. I do find that the lower an entity is vibrationally, the more of a likelihood that they may lie, or do other unkind or misleading things to get what they want. There are negative entities out there that simply want your energy through fear, promises, etc. So that may lend itself to taking advantage of someone, not telling the truth, or telling half-truths. In other instances, negative entities may be incredibly honest and upfront immediately to gain trust, but then over time lie, hide or bend the truth.

Spirits, particularly human spirits not too long from passing, are essentially a part of who they were when they passed. Meaning that if the character of someone here on earth was truthful and honest, it’s likely that these characteristics will transcend. There are certainly some souls on the other side I do not wish to encounter. But when I channel souls for others upon request, typically they are loved ones, and are therefore, reasonably high vibrational.

So is there a motive to lie, or not to lie? Of course, as mentioned with negative entities, if they are looking to gain power, there would be a motive. But if I’m channeling a passed loved one, for example, their primary goal is connection and healing. So lying would be totally against their agenda. Granted, like anyone, they may tell “white lies” to help their human loved ones heal. But since much of the other side is transcended, loving and positive, there’s not too much to lie about. At least as far as the future is concerned.

To summarize, one must understand the entity, the intent, the vibration, as well as other considerations and take multiple things into account before determining if spirits lie or do not lie.

The truth is, we ultimately have free will here and beyond. There’s no spiritual “code” that says we cannot lie when we die. However, the question is, when we pass and understand truth, is there a reason to?
