93. Is Astral Projection Ethical?
While I truly am an advocate for intuitive anarchy, or in other words, everything is OK all the time (with consent), there’s something fishy about astral projecting which I can’t quite get on board with.
In essence, astral projecting is projecting out your consciousness in order to “visit” new places.
I believe that in worlds unlike ours, astral projecting is perhaps almost necessary in order to acquire and receive information which helps build our knowledge and evolution here on earth. But ow is this process done? Typically one would set an intention. But it’s challenging to know or understand if this intention is reciprocated by other parties, or not. Perhaps if it’s viable at all, there’s a level of subconscious consent which you may not be consciously aware of. Otherwise, perhaps through force, it could be possible? But I do believe simultaneously that spiritual law exists…
In any case, I think that by scouring for knowledge with the best intention to help our collective is theoretically ethical. But what happens when it’s not?
It’s no secret, despite not much conversation around it, that the government has dabbled in astral projection for political or security issues. In fact, much of it has done well, or worked. People, places or things have been found with the use of channelers or psychics. But is this ethical? It’s hard to say. If they felt that they were doing something which was morally “good”, then perhaps not. But why are we using spiritual forces in order to comply with our physical demands? While the two work in tandem with each other, it seems that crossing these barriers is excessive, or out of force. On a side note, using metaphysical channelers to aid in hypothetical modern warfare with the other side of the coin being the complete lack of respect and awareness of these same metaphysical properties for other causes is… disturbing. Reprehensible. While perhaps it’s not the exact same people causing both of these things to happen, I think it speaks largely to our extreme bias toward different physical manifestations of the same concept.
In any event, selfish or negative gain from using metaphysics is a slippery slope, which can often times lead to the dissolving of powers altogether (as through positive or negative vibrations in law of attraction), so it’s important to consider that whatever is being channeled, is of greater good than bad. Or else the implementation as well as your channeling abilities may be at risk. However, this isn’t fear mongering. I encourage you to do what feels right, however I do warn of the consequences.
My fear with prolonged or studied use of astral projection is that it may fluctuate in terms of effectiveness over time. Having such a stringent view or look at astral projection for statistical means may bring into question its efficacy. On top of that, since it may be disoriented or skewed over time, there may be no valid interpretation of these results as a whole. While I value intuition and channeling as a whole, and feel that the lines are quite blurred between what is “wrong” and what is “right”, when this is the lens that it’s being reviewed upon, it could come with some unexpected problems and challenges.
Perhaps in some ways, my feelings of “privacy” are too rooted in a physical space. While I don’t necessarily feel weirded out by being “spied on”, as quite frankly, I’m aware that spirits are around me constantly, I feel quite uncomfortable doing it myself. Perhaps for me, there’s no use, but there is for others. Perhaps it is a violation of privacy, but maybe it’s not. How do I truly know? I wonder if potentially it’s based on the circumstances. If someone asked me to channel the location of a serial killer at large, would I do it? What if this supposed serial killer was supposed to be taken down by someone else? At a different point in time? What if it was against my best interest of all involved to… get involved? I don’t know if anyone will ever really know. Since we’re working in accordance with time, destinies and our subconscious and conscious mind. I think that it comes down to the general umbrella of philosophy. We can argue consistently about what’s “right” and what’s “wrong”. But unfortunately deducing it down to right and wrong is ultimately… falling into a more fractured structure which is probably not the point of spirituality to begin with.
I think that at the end of the day, perhaps some individuals are more interested in astral projection for a reason. Suppose they are “supposed” to be projectors in this life, while others are not. I’m not entirely sure if things can give subconscious “consent” or not, but it’s an interesting topic to think about. I think that “consent” as a whole is an interesting energetic concept which I’d like to dive deeper into.
Ensure that when and if you do decide to astral project, you are really considering the intent of the process. Be sure to keep yourself safe, not only in these realms and dimensions, but energetically and karmically as well. Positive and fulfilling intentions are likely to yield not only the best but most abundance and protected results.
