305. Start Intuiting & Dissecting Hunger
I’ve talked a bit about nutrition, eating and its correlation to abundance. Food and eating is incredibly metaphysical. As a result, this has somewhat bordered eating disorders, however I’ve never talked about them directly. Although I find that often times eating disorders are an amalgamation of several different problems, rooted in trauma, any type of disordered eating, even subtle, can i some way shape or form be traced back to issues with abundance and/or prosperity. So what exactly does this mean?
It can be really hard to pin down, which is why I think a lot of people become lost. So let’s talk a little bit about our energies in general.
We have an input and an output in our bodies. This is physical, but theoretically, it also has to be mental/emotional and/or spiritual, depending on what you subscribe to. It is… energy. And there’s really no reason as to why this energy cannot in some way be intellectualized. We ultimately know this as a fact. We know that eating a lot of “bad” foods may make you feel worse. There is a real life, quantifiable energetic component here. So we have to ask ourselves, where does this go wrong?
It’s important to note that anyone and everyone’s needs are different. We are not all intended to have the same types of foods. All of our dietary needs are different, because all of our energetic needs are different. The intention of food, as well as other energies we consume, is to not just “fuel” us but in some way shape or form, for a very small amount of time, complete us. There is something that we need, energetically, so we seek it out, and we consume it. We get so obsessed with food itself, that we lose sight of this incredibly larger and metaphorical picture. So we have to ask ourselves… what do we energetically need? And are we finding it?
Without going way too deep into how we ultimately end up storing and holding onto old, negative stagnant energy, for the sake of this conversation, we do. It snowballs. We lose sight of our own intuition, our own metaphysical or spiritual needs, and we decide to override them, and/or overcompensate for what we are lacking. This is often times why it’s so much harder to get to a goal when you are so far away of it. It’s not that you’re farther from the finish line necessarily, it’s because you’re lost sight almost entirely of the “point” or the true and authentic you.
I find that most people are stunted in terms of their weight loss journey, because weight is “energetic weight”, meaning that we are holding onto things which are or are not serving us. Let’s be real, weight is important in some aspects or regards. We need an energetic “buffer” if you will. But when this buffer becomes too much for us to handle, or it’s ultimately doing us a disservice, it’s no longer helpful or needed. But I talk a little bit more about this in depth in other articles. So I’m more interested in the concept of abundance, as well as hunger.
When we are looking to eat, again, we are looking to add energy into our bodies. But there are lots of reasons we would want to say… overeat, under-eat or eat something which isn’t in alignment with us. And it’s typically because we have a misalignment regarding our own needs. Or we are very aware of our own needs, but we’re choosing to neglect, reject or ignore them. We’re essentially “missing the point”. When we are hungry for something, we are hungry for energy. But energy can be anything and everything. If we’re too afraid to talk to others, engage in intimate relationships, go out and connect with the world, friends, family, nature itself, we can turn to other things which fulfill us. Keep in mind, this doesn’t always have to be food. The food that we eat should be theoretically in perfect alignment with us, and help us achieve our goals. It should not be an overcompensation for what we should be doing, but again, we are ignoring or lacking. If you’re “hungry” for something, ask yourself what it is? Is it comfort? Is it excitement/intrigue? Is it familiarity? Is it a new chapter? This is often times why we put the word “craving” with different foods. All energy flows a similar wavelength. It’s either we’re ingesting it physically or mentally/emotionally. Keep in mind that when we are holding on to too much old, negative or stagnant energy it likes to be “fed” energetically. It’s much harder for negative energy to exist when we’re not “feeding” it. But it’s not just physical. If we continue to perpetuate old, limiting beliefs or negative thought patterns, this also feeds in. If we remain stagnant, this feeds it.
The true “test” is to dissect food as energy. To understand our wants and needs as energy. We immediately go straight to compulsions, and that this is a warped sense of reality. It’s not a warped sense of reality, it’s a warped sense of alignment in regards to our needs. We need to dig deeper into the metaphysics of what we’re looking for, and why we’re trying to squash it. Adversely, if you’re not eating enough food, why you’re trying to “starve” yourself from it.
There is no perfection in diet, because our energetic needs change constantly. Simply by living life. So that’s why it’s important to evolve and change. Being in true alignment with yourself will perfect your diet. Perfecting your diet for the sake of perfecting it will likely ultimately lead to failure and/or disappointment. We need to start understanding the root cause, first. Regardless of where this thought process ends up, there’s still more conscious interjection throughout this process, which is a positive thing.
