338. Why Our Perceptions Of Masculine & Feminine Are Warped
It’s no surprise to me that we’re fighting amongst ourselves with the divine masculine and divine feminine conversation. So let’s start from the beginning.
Divine feminine and divine masculine energies or ideologies simply represent dichotomy. We could hypothetically assume that any and all energies could flow underneath one of these two buckets. Does this mean that anything and everything is gendered? The answer is yes and no.
When we consider that divine feminine and divine masculine energies are inherently gendered and therefore have some type of a physical manifestation, we almost immediately negate the point of them and look at them through our very specific perception value. Divine feminine and divine masculine energies to so above and beyond the concept of gender, that it’s somewhat not well understood by even the most “enlightened” of a person.
Why call it divine masculine and divine feminine? On the other side, these energies and categorizations of energies are inherently sacred, it’s simply our ideologies which are muddying the waters. On the other side, there is a time and place for both of them. There’s no singularity requirements, in other words, these energies exist within us at any and all given times. The concept of dichotomy is essentially the foundation of all of existence. It’s simply our own insecurities and negative projections which make them way too specific and/or as mentioned… warped.
Since we are looking at these energies from our own perception value, it’s no surprise that people have very different interpretations of what they are. But they are inherently “abstract” energies, like I mentioned. To make it a little bit easier, one could ladder them up to their “correct” categorization by looking at concepts and themes which are prevalent in tarot. In other words, if energies are sword-like or wand-like, they are likely divine masculine. And opposite of cups and pentacles. Astrological energy is another good representation of what is or isn’t divine masculine or feminine.
The best way to describe each is contraction versus expansion. When energies or ideologies are more expansive, they are typically more divine feminine (in my opinion). And when they are more contraction, they are more divine masculine. Very different from blue and pink, no?
The typical common misconceptions I get about each are the following: Divine masculine is often times seen as aggression, bravado and control. But from my interpretations, “true” divine masculine is actually quite soft, gentle, however boundary-oriented. It’s more leadership oriented through politeness and kindness rather than brut force. In terms of divine feminine, the typical understanding of femininity from our perspective is that of softness, submissiveness and perhaps even a “follower” mentality. However, it’s incredibly opposite from the other side. Divine feminine is discerning, extremely powerful, decisive, yet accommodating. They are authorities of their own world, and are consistent spear-headers of their own lives as well as others.
There are warped perceptions, or negative perceptions of both energies, however there is always a positive. When both of these perceived energies or actual energies are at war with each other, there’s stunted or limited progress. But when they work together, there is success. Consider it like the balance between ourselves. When one part of ourselves is at war with the other, there’s simply arrested development.
It saddens me that there’s a dramatic shut-down of these energies, simply based on misunderstandings. Classification sand categorizations are not lack of freedom or “forced” compliance. They are guides, insightful terms and ideas, and a roadmap for our lives. When we stop, again, projecting our own perceptions from insecurity or trauma onto universal realities, we can work with the universe, rather than writing our own code going against it.
Both of these energies are incredibly important, powerful and no one is better than the other. And again, we always inhabit both in order to keep moving. We cannot be 100% physical, nor 100% mental/emotional, at least in this particular incarnation. Respect these sides of yourselves, and naturally, you’ll respect others as well as the universe.
