375. Do Our Favorite Movies Provide Insight Into The Truths Of The Universe?
It’s no surprise that life imitates art, or maybe that art imitates life? But I find so much inspiration, creativity and more within media. The thought that humans can share not just their own experiences, but within their own perception value is incredibly unique. At a time when and where we have multiple and accessible forms of media, it’s no surprise that we are on a fast track for evolution.
Of course there are lots of different categories of this kind of entertainment and media, particularly when it comes to storytelling, but of course you can imagine that my interest lies primarily with metaphysics.
I think there are lots of fascinating elements of metaphysics. Facet one is that we approach the topic of metaphysics without really approaching it, or knowing what it is. In other words, emotions, fantasy and philosophy are just a couple of examples of things which touch metaphysics. Theoretically, anything that is curious or describes/investigates a reason why is under the umbrella of metaphysics, in my opinion. To be honest, I’m not sure many people even know what metaphysics is. I’m not even sure I officially know what metaphysics is (lol).
So to experience the different output and execution of humans and their human experiences, and their “why” is not only breathtaking, but it can also help us fill in the blank of shared experiences. Why is this important? Shared experiences, i my opinion, are often times classified as “truth”. This isn’t to say that unique experiences aren’t truthful, but in a world where our reality may confuse or hinder us, we know that things are “real” and truthful by observing others, understanding their struggles, and relating it back to us. There’s more “substance” and energy there, than simply living it out ourselves. Let’s just say the inspiration is endless.
So let’s talk about these movies and TV shows. How do they express metaphysics, and how do we know it’s happening? I find that things which are mystical, magical, sci-fi, or just generally deeply emotional and/or introspective are great candidates for this. Reason being is because it portrays a different or altered state of reality, which can easily share or show a different way of existing or being in reality. Perhaps it’s just easier to pick up on it in these instances.
I find that the recent movie, “Everything, Everywhere All At Once” does a great job of sharing my own personal experiences with metaphysics. The “multi-verse”, concurrent or past lives, the bleeding through of different dimensions, etc. These are things I personally experience through clairvoyance, feelings, visions, meditations, dreams and more. As time goes on, I tend to put the “pieces” together to paint myself a clearer picture. Although I will never truly know what goes on in a different state of reality (at least at this time) because I’m not experiencing it, I have somewhat of an idea. And again, we can always rely on our “shared” experiences to help guide us, or get us through.
Two other excellent visions of metaphysics are the Harry Potter series, as well as Star Wars. I will say that for Star Wars, I am certainly not an expert. To be honest, there’s only one concept in which I resonate with which is “the force”. Essentially, this force of nature which cannot be seen necessarily, but can be harnessed. To me, “the force” is simply another means or way of describing consciousness. Their ability to classify, interact and intermingle with the force is not just truth, in my opinion, but also inspiring. These characters have gone out of their way to interpret an energetic existence which is more than what meets the eye. Sometimes I wonder what if we really harnessed our own consciousness? How far could we go as a human species? The force is real, but perhaps not precisely as its shown in the movies.
I’ve talked a little bit about all of the interesting/unique elements of Harry Potter. One of my first prophetic dreams was shown to me at a place which looked quite like Hogwarts. Through this experience, I understood that similar to the fictional school, many people continue to educate themselves and “work” on the other side. And of course since physical reality doesn’t exist, they can pretty much do whatever they want in terms of interacting with other energies, as seen by the magic portrayed throughout Harry Potter. There are of course “some” rules which must be abided by, as we must as a collective, align on certain things to keep us all moving forward in a particular direction.
One of my favorite parts of Harry Potter is/was the moving staircases. I find that the moving staircases are excellent analogies for different paths and timelines we can take. We can choose to be on one, or jump to another, and they are somewhat forces of the universe which we are just “on” or interacting with. They have somewhat their own free will, and it’s our duty and job to ensure that we’re on the right one which is serving us. When we become a victim of the universe, it tends to take us where we don’t want to go.
The hierarchy of power is also quite interesting. I do believe that as a being you become somewhat of an “ascended master” in ways, as you tend to accumulate more experiences, and learn more, as you evolve.
There’s lots of other fun little things, such as the different types of classes, like herbology, potions, etc. I personally find that the little fairies which tend to cause mischief and mayhem actually have lateral counterparts, which I call “sprites”. Energies which are intended to mix and mingle with us as humans in order to trigger us to make moves, even if it is in a chaotic or irritating sense.
But one of the most relevant things I’ve come across in Harry Potter is dementors. As most of us know, dementors are somewhat evil “soul-sucking” beings which prey off of your negative experiences. The only way to thwart them is to lean into love and happiness. This is quite literally… how we operate in life. “Energy vampires” or even negative entities will feed off of your negative experiences and fears. It happens amongst humans all day, every day. It’s kind of odd that we don’t see it as such. Perhaps the acknowledgment of this process forces us to realize how sick we are as people, and force us to address our own issues. But regardless… it’s brilliant in many different ways, and the process of thwarting off these dementors is an energetic transmission approach/skill which we should absolutely integrate into our everyday life.
These are just a couple of examples of movies which broach this subject, however I’m sure that in every single movie or TV show out there, there are vague elements of metaphysics. If we can “create” a unique, and perhaps fictional explanation for the concept of metaphysics, we can get the world on board. Since metaphysics can’t be materialized, unless we translate it, then it can be shown and perceived as practically anything. And that is where true creativity lies.
