396. What Makes People Interesting
This is, maybe for obvious reasons one of my favorite topics. I mean what’s more interesting than… interesting things? Or perhaps, interesting people? Granted in order to accept interesting people, there’s a whole lot more than just interesting or even acceptable/nice or kind things. After all, as we know from history, often times eccentricities are followed by not so nice personality traits, behaviors or characteristics. Going through my own “interesting” journey of accessing my intuition, I can confidently say I was insufferable for most of it. I think that to access the depths of energy, you need to sort through a lot of crap. And that takes a toll on the user, for sure. It’s not always the case, though. And for that, I am incredibly jealous.
My best attempt at approaching this topic was to understand what is baseline interesting, perhaps beyond a definition, but more of a collective level feeling. For the most part, interesting things are unique or different, and in terms of hobbies or interests, they are typically in a certain direction with depth. For example, things which are “popular culture”, which although may be interesting for a moment, somewhat fade into obscurity or less of a “point” once the collective already knows this information. It’s the curiosity and further belief and understanding we are really going for. So we could argue that as a whole, interest is related to energetic depth.
This makes sense because often times when people are quite good at a skill, or they have a particularly strong interest or hobby, particularly one that is not known by most of the collective, they are quite interesting. Granted, there are some hobbies which are pretty unsexy, but I think there’s a bit of further discussion regarding what the collective deems “appropriate” or inspirational for the moment, which of course may hold some weight in this topic as a whole.
I’m also kind of laughing because I realize I did another article on “how to be infinitely interesting” which weirdly… I actually feel like is kind of a different topic. In that post I discussed more metaphysical means versus physical means, but I intend on going a little bit deeper with this post.
So we should ask ourselves why is energetic depth interesting, inherently. When we consume information and content, particularly if it’s pleasing to the eyes and ears (we don’t love reading text from a textbook), it’s triggering all of our senses, number one, and inspiring us, number two, but it’s also allowing us to have information from other sources which we may not be able to have or understand otherwise. In some way shape or form it’s either inspiring, relevant, important or helpful. Maybe all of the above.
So am I saying that if you have a topic or interest, run with it? Find out all you can about it and bring it back to the collective? Maybe. It’s also interesting to note that I do believe in collective energetic investigation, or in other words, the idea that since we do all share a collective intelligence (which has somewhat been proven throughout time), any sort of curiosity or depth of information or intelligence on an individual level does in fact benefit the whole collective. So if someone’s doing research on one part of the world, it may mean that research in that very specific area or region (and trust me, it can get specific) may not need to be done on another side of the world. Keep in mind that even redundant practices or procedures can still gain new information and results, so I do find there’s a reason as to why there needs to be more than just one individual doing work to find a breakthrough. There are also limitations that we have personally which impact our work, as well.
To sum up, interest is energetic depth. We may find ourselves attracted to people who have any kind of energetic depth, in any sphere. Consider the types of people that you are attracted to? Are they more “basic” in nature (not a bad thing), or do they have more depth. Doesn’t have to be romantic attraction, can even be professional attraction based on your level of interest, or networking/friend attraction. Who do you like to spend your time around, and why? This can give you insight into what to be doing next. Consider that if you are surrounding yourself with more basic people, there may be a reason for that. Perhaps those are the energies that you’re giving out to the world, and are therefore attracting, or perhaps you’re too much in energetic depth, and need to “come out” and be more aligned and connected to the collective. There can be multiple possibilities given your specific circumstances.
Keep in mind that this is just my perception value and my opinions at this very moment. Consider what you find interesting in other people as a whole. I do lean into the fact that you are interesting to certain people, for a certain reason. And that reason is that the other person is looking to inhabit the skills or gifts that you have. You won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. But when you are, it will be the best tea ever. Consider observable patterns and feel free to draw your own conclusions about what your next goals and stages in life could and should be.
