409. Lazy Person’s Guide To Changing Your Life
Why make a guide for lazy people to change their life? There’s a couple of reasons. Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’re not lazy. But if we are on the wrong path or are over inundated by life and have no time to practically do anything, a “lazy” or less thoughtful approach is ideal. Especially for people who aren’t lazy, a “quick fix” is a pretty interesting hook. Granted, I’m not about quick fixes, but I am about quick gestures you can do each and every day that will certainly add up quickly. Maybe this isn’t for lazy people, but simply a “lazy” approach.
The thought of more “self work” is so daunting, I feel it’s likely that people straight up avoid it. So if there’s any way for me to position this as easy, I think I’ll be doing my job.
So throughout my time as a channeler, here are the easiest things to do, for lazy people or otherwise, each and every day to truly change your life.
Affirming. This will ALWAYS be at the top of the list. Whatever you’re looking to do or whatever you’re looking to change, start affirming it with “I am” statements. “I am changing my life”. “I am aligning to my purpose”. “I am releasing old, negative or stagnant energy”. The trick is to make them meaningful, direct and reasonably specific, but high level enough for the universe to take hold/control. Aligned to that sentiment, you can even affirm that you’re releasing control. The options are endless. I find that the most effective approach is in a mirror, looking into your eyes and truly “feeling” the sentiment as you say it, Is it magic? Nope, but it does something kind of magical. The majority of our problems are due to the fact that we are repressing, rejecting or neglecting the energies, concepts or themes. This unearths them, and brings them to the surface. And once they’re brought to the surface, they must be dealt with. It also, of course, aligns to “The Secret” and manifestation.
Intention setting. This is quite similar to affirming, but it’s more in the manifestation realm. It’s about setting up short term and long term goals. Things that you have to work through. You’d be surprised how much you reference it. Even if I have only a few minutes of free time, I go back to my list. What things can I work on that I truly want done/accomplished in x amount of time? This also works in combination with the universe, which will begin opening up doors for you. The universe only works on your willingness to ask for help, and a reasonable expectation of what you want done. Keep in mind that no time is wasted, even if you switch gears. You may feel that you’ve wasted time, but the learning lessons that you accomplished or achieved along the way, will help you in the long run. We tend to stagnate our lives, but we typically never drift far enough away to the point that we are completely rendering ourselves here on earth useless for ourselves or for others.
Journaling. Aligned to the last sentiment, you’d be surprised how many thoughts roll around in your head, which you deflect through to distractions. Maybe it’s a message from your subconscious, maybe it’s an idea. Can you imagine how many brilliant things you’re thinking as the day goes by, which you totally ignore because you’ve got stuff to do? Not only can this provide insight and clarity for now, it can in the future. It can also offer context, good vibes, inspiration, creativity and more. And since it’s from you, it’s super relevant.
Intuitive stretching. I do this even when I’m on the couch watching TV. You practically don’t have to move. Where does your body feel like going/what does it feel like doing? Move in this direction and hold a pause. Allow yourself to “feel”. Our bodies do truly keep records of our energetic experiences, typically negative ones. And they may be small or subtle. Letting go of old, negative or stagnant energy doesn’t need to disrupt your life. It can be part of your daily routine. Long-term, this is so beneficial mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically. Dense, negative energy tends to manifest into physical problems, diverts us from success and creates mental static.
Gratitude. I know it sounds corny, but it’s so important. No matter what we’re going through or experiencing, it puts us in one of the highest vibrations of the universe. By finding ANYTHING to be grateful for, you shift yourself within this universe. It’s kind of like getting off on the right foot in the morning. And it may take only a second.
Intuitive eating at least one snack or meal. In a busy world, it’s sometimes impossible to get the most healthy or nutritious meal. But if you can plan at least one per day, and perhaps if it’s intuitive, it’s spontaneous towards or around dinner time, allowing yourself to give in to what your body truly wants is so important. Intuitive eating is a thorough process, and is not something that will happen over night, particularly if you’re someone who’s struggled with eating habits in the past. It’s allowing yourself to tap into your subconscious separated from fear and negativity and in an unbiased way. Try automatic writing as a technique if you’re having trouble accessing what your body “truly” wants.
