435. How To Avoid Authoritarian Leadership

Aptly coming right after “we are what we project and perceive”, this is another lesson in self-awareness and self-work (isn’t it always?).

I think it’s pretty clear what authoritarian leadership is, but maybe it spans further or deeper than you think. Of course we immediately think of politics and a dictatorship. But can authoritarian leadership be within your place of work, and even your home? Perhaps it could even be in your romantic relationship. Truly, it can exist anywhere, and it’s simply about feeling you are part of a dictatorship, and lacking a sense of autonomy and control. This is where the story starts.

If we remember that we are on a journey in this life in order to trigger our deepest wounds, fears and pains, we may realize that putting ourselves in a situation of authoritarian leadership may indicate a few things. It can mean we have a warped relationship with the authority of our own being, lacking a sense of power and control within our own self, or perhaps there are simply just old wounds from previous authoritarian-like relationships which need mending or resolving. Of course, on a more personal level, we will likely find ourselves in more intimate situations revolving around this authority. In terms of a country-like setting, it’s likely that “class consciousness” in a certain area, paired with geolocation energy, as well as history would have something to do with this. This is of course, aligned to historical documentation that often times authoritarian leaders sprout up when a country or group of people has been left hopeless, helpless and destitute. While of course, from a more practical and physical perspective, they quite literally need someone to guide them, but the metaphysical component is that they are willing and able to “sign over” any means of authority over their own self because of their destitution. This is also why you may find authoritarian countries leaving their people in a sense of scarcity. If of course they were aligned, healthy, confident and healed, an overthrow would quickly and promptly happen. When one person or a small governing body is making all of the decisions, which are negative, there’s not just lack of physical ability to step in or overthrow, there’s metaphysical as well. The people are not prepared nor suited to “take on” the responsibilities of leading, working together and moving forward a society. Clearly, there are lots of moving parts and pieces.

While it’s true that we have minimal control over not just other countries, but other people, it’s our duty and “assignment” to exist in a geo-locational place which supports and helps push our current energetic lessons and goals. More importantly, it’s our responsibility to evolve and grow. We must take responsibility of our own selves. The good parts, the bad parts, the parts still in progress. See my pinned post as to how to do this. The easiest way to make it specific to this topic is to affirm and intention set that you are in control of yourself, you’re taking responsibility for yourself, and you are your own authority.

Despite the build-up from the collapse of an authoritarian leadership, and the way to thwart it in motion, stopping this from occurring is relatively simple metaphysically. It’s so important that we stop this energy in its tracks to ensure that it does not move or go further, as again, stopping it in motion and dealing with its destruction is life-threatening, life-altering or worse.
